Our History

1948

Rudolph Weiss Sr., an immigrant from Germany, moved to Mansfield Ohio to start a partnership with his wife’s uncle, Frank Miller. The company was named Ohio Tool & Die and was located on Wayne Street.

1954

Rudolph Weiss Sr. left the partnership and established Mansfield Tool & Die which was located on Ashland Road.

1956

Mansfield Tool & Die became incorporated.

1958

Mansfield Tool & Die introduced Metal Heat Treating.

1967

The property on Route 13 North in Mansfield was acquired and the Metal Heat Treat Facility was moved and re-established.

1974

Mansfield Tool & Die diversified into stampings and moved to a new facility on the Route 13 North property.
At this time Rudolph Weiss Jr. was named Vice President

1980

Rudolph Weiss Sr. passed and Rudolph Weiss Jr. assumed the role of President.

2021

Rudolph Weiss Jr. passed and Phyllis J. Weiss assumed the role of President and Weiss Industries, Inc. became a Small Woman Owned Business.

2023

Weiss Industries has been sold, Laurie McKeon is the owner and David McKeon is the president. Read More…
