Prototyping & Tooling

Our core competencies are deep in tooling, manufacturing and metallurgical engineering. We happily offer our customers access to these resources as though we are an extension of their engineering departments. We use the capabilities of our engineers and craftsmen to quickly produce prototype samples of new metal components that we aim to eventually produce in bulk. We are a diverse, flexible, and adaptable team willing to take on customer challenges from the development stage through volume production.

Precision Metal Stamping

Weiss Industries’ long experience in tooling engineering and concentration in progressive-die construction makes us the ideal supplier partner for producing medium to high volume stampings. Working with nearly all metals available by coil, including stainless steel, we can produce your all metal stamping from metals .254 mm/.010″ through 4.750 mm/.187″ thick. We excel in complex, close tolerance, difficult or unusual shapes and materials, and are ship-to-stock certified with many of our customers because we are committed to zero defect quality and 100% on-time delivery.

Machine Job Shop Operations

  • Automatic presses from 45-330 tons
  • Bed Sizes to 43″/1092 mm x 72″/1828 mm
  • Shut height to 21″/533 mm
  • Secondary presses (mechanical & hydraulic) to 110 Ton, 15″/381 mm shut height

Fabricated Tube, Sleeves & Housings

Using our precision metal forming process, Weiss Industries is proficient at producing light gauge cylindrical components such as fabricated tubes, housings, sleeves, and bushings. Prototypes are available through our high volume production quantities.

Weiss Industries works with both coil and sheet steel (plain or perforated) or from cut-to-length tubing or blanks. Wall thickness capability ranges from approximately .38mm/.015” through 2.28mm/.090”. Seams can be open or welded by MIG, TIG, plasma, laser or resistance methods. Mechanical locking and other joining methods are also available.

Quality & Engineering

Weiss Industries is an organization staffed with highly motivated and skilled engineers and technicians who use state-of-the-art tools and equipment to solve manufacturing problems. When others turn away from a project that seems too difficult, we face it head on.

Six sigma quality is possible using statistical data and other process monitors to determine and document specifications, eliminating all possible variables and rigorously controlling those that remain. We are extremely thorough about monitoring variables and results. Each of our operators is responsible for his own quality and is empowered to stop any process if he detects a non-conforming condition.
